Today's post features the lovely Beth from BeautyInBeta. I am sure many of you have read Beth's blog and seen her YouTube channel - but if not check it out here

I love how down to earth Beth comes across in her posts and videos, and being a feline fan, the appearance of her cat Gizmo obviously just makes me like her blog even more! Last week I was lucky enough to meet with her for a chat and here's what she had to say..

Can you sum up your blog in a few sentences for those who don't know? BeautyInBeta is pretty much a mixture of all of the things I enjoy in life! So, it’s kind of a mix of mainly beauty and lifestyle, and other random things I enjoy! Oh, and lots of cat pictures.. sorry..
How did you come up with the name? Well, this is quite a weird one, because like most bloggers I imagine, everything I could think of had already gone. The ‘beta’ bit comes from the fact that I come from a writing background and when you’re writing a novel, you send it out to your ‘beta readers’ to read before it goes out to public. They then let you know if you need to change anything. As this blog is my first step into a different type of blogging, I thought of this as my beta test. Also, like testing products etc... Yeah, that probably makes no sense whatsoever, but hopefully you get this jist, haha!
What sparked your interest in blogging? I think after I got married (in August last year), I was looking for something new and fun to focus on. I always read these types of blogs, and thought why not start my own? I’m so happy that I did!

How long have you been blogging and what are the challenges? Well I’ve been blogging with this blog since October 2013, so only a few months, but previously I ran a writing blog for a few years. The challenges are coming up with content that’s unique and exciting for people to read!
What's your current skincare/makeup routine? I only recently started having a proper skincare routine (I know, bad Beth!), but I currently am using the Oqibo Cleanser and Toner every day. I was actually sent a sample of this to try, but ending up buying myself some more as I loved it so much! I then use the Eau Roma toner from Lush and Oil of Olay moisturiser! My make up routine (if I’m going all out!) you can watch here:

What's your favourite product right now? My favourite product right now would probably have to be the Bourjois Healthy Mix Gel Serum Foundation. It’s just absolutely perfect for me! It’s a light but buildable product, which is great for me for a daily light coverage. It makes my skin feel absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend it.
Any products you have tried recently that are overrated? Well I’ve tried two products recently which I just didn’t get along with, and that was the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and the Sleek True Colour Lipstick in Russian Roulette. The foundation was just too orangey and heavy for me, sadly! :( The lipstick was just so drying and horrible to apply. Such a shame though because I love Sleek.
Is there one holy grail product that you could not live without? Quite a boring answer, but Carmex! I have such dry lips that I’d be so sad without my Carmex!
What is your favourite thing about being a blogger? My favourite thing without a doubt is meeting all the other bloggers, and interacting with everyone. Everyone I’ve met is so lovely and the highlight of my day is reading through all their blogs and chatting with people.
And that's it! Thank you for reading, and a massive thanks to the lovely Beth for meeting with me and taking the time to answer some of my questions (after we had got completely sidetracked and chatted about everything else)! And like I said, if you haven't checked BeautyInBeta out before, go do it ASAP!
