They're Real!

Apart from a tiny BADgal lash tube that I once got with a Glamour mag, I had never really used a Benefit Mascara before. However this year for Christmas, my Mum treated me to They're Real!.. she did well on beauty gifts as she also got me a Chanel powder which I will be reviewing soon.
Although I got it a month ago (as if it has already been a month since Christmas?!) I only started using the Benefit mascara last week as I was still in love with my MAC Zoom Lash (you can read that review here). I was a bit worried that after reading so many wonderful reviews about They're Real! my expectations would be too high and I would be disappointed. But I am pleased to report that I was very impressed with it!
I prefer the Benefit brush to the Zoom Lash as it is plastic as opposed to bristle-y, if that makes any sense at all? I've found that it doesn't carry extra product on it and it's able to get right to the root of the lashes without clumping. Also, as I mentioned in my Zoom Lash review, for 'day eyes' I like to put on a few coats of mascara before I feel that my lashes are ready. But with They're Real! I am actually happy with the length and shape of my lashes after one quick coat (I am very picky about minor things like this even though essentially no one else notices). Therefore, as this is some kind of miracle, I am officially declaring that this mascara has moved on up into HG territory.
1 coat, top lashes only

At £19.50 it is pricey for a mascara, but you do get what you pay for. Plus I have recently trained myself not to pump my mascara wand to increase the life of the product - so hopefully I can make it last a while.

Have you tried this mascara, or do you have any other Benefit products to recommend?
