August Faves

Although I've been away from blogging, I have definitely not been away from shopping. So I thought I'd share with you a few of my favourite finds from August/July. Please excuse the lighting on my pictures, currently having issues photography wise and looking to buy a proper camera! (Any advice in this department would be greatly appreciated).

Touche Éclat
I finally got my hands on THE concealer.. and it's amazing. Firstly, I love that I managed to get one of the wild edition versions (who said leopard print was limited to Kat Slater?). Secondly, it genuinely lives up to the hype. Personally I don't think it completely covers my dark circles without a little help from other products, but in terms of highlighting.. I could not look more dewy skinned (and not like death) when wearing it. All hail (Y)SL.

Topshop foundation/stippling brush
Ages ago I purchased a Sleek contour kit which I still hadn't plucked up the courage to use. So when browsing through the Topshop beauty products, I asked the sales assistant if there was any brushes she would recommend for a novice to contouring. She suggested this foundation brush due to the flat and angled surface. Fast forward a few weeks and I was rushing to get ready for work *shock* but my Clinique foundation brush was not completely dry after cleaning, so I turn to this Topshop brush as a fall back option - kind of unsure of whether or not I would be happy with it as I haven't strayed from a flat foundation brush for years. It's about a month later and I haven't looked back. This. Is. Amazing. It gets right into to all the little difficult parts of the face, blends soo well - and is ridiculously soft. For the price, it's a complete bargain. Definitely recommend taking a look in Topshop for potential make up brush purchases.

How have I only just found out about this place? My new flat is near a little retail park, and there is a HomeSense literally right opposite our bedroom window. So naturally, I had to have a look. If you're obsessed with getting cute things for your house at a bargain price - this is the shop for you. I want to say that it is owned by TKMaxx, because the signage and labels are identical to those in the home section there..? So as you can imagine you get quality items for much less. One of my finds was this Pecksniff's candle, I had never heard of the brand before but after smelling it I knew it was a good'un. Only £6 instead of about £25, and the fragrance reminds me a little of Dolce by Dolce and Gabbana. So if you are a candle gal like me, head to your nearest HomeSense to find some treasures!

ASOS Trousers
I hate wearing trousers. I feel like I have the weirdest body shape which means that the cut of most trousers annoy me at best and restrict my movement at worst. I have brought multiple pairs only to have to return them when I realise they are not for me. With starting my new job though, I knew it was time to get serious about finding some trousers for the office. Imagine my happiness when I came across these beauties from ASOS. Smart from the front, elasticated at the back, and I love the zip detail. These are so versatile too, perfect for all you ladies who may have the same problem as me. I kind of feel like after all the searching I should buy a back up pair in case something happens to them..
Spanner and Wingnut
While doing the usual #bbloggers #fbloggers tag stalk on Twitter, I came across this company and had a little browse on their website. If you are a fan of unique jewellery take a look. Their pieces are beautiful, especially the rings. Although a little too pricey for me right now, I can't stop lusting after everything.

Have you come across any beauty or fashion discoveries lately?
